Dead on the Water

Dead on the Water I've seen a number of documentaries about the Dead Sea Scrolls now, but the one that stands out for me is the Riddle of the Dead Sea Scrolls from around 1990, featuring Barbara Thiering's 'pesher' technique of drawing specific references from general ones according to symbolic interpretation. I don't agree with her findings, however. She claims that the scrolls refer to Jesus Christ and John the Baptist as adversaries: the Wicked Priest and the Teacher of Righteousness, respectively. While this sensational thought might attract sponsors for her work, most scholars insist that her sources are all from a century before Jesus was born. It's true that these figures bear an uncanny resemblance, at least within the framework of Hebrew zealots of the period who insisted on strict adherence to the countless laws of Moses and would have viewed anyone, including Jesus, as 'wicked' for dismissing them, but my guess is that both Jesu

Great Rewards

Great Rewards Sometimes I wonder how sexually damaged I may have been by all the copyright crimes with my work - especially my music. You know, I really don't want to do without sex for the rest of my life. I just don't see the point of complaining about it. I should have been sexually rewarded if my music appealed to women enough to feature so prominently on so many broadcasting playlists. They handed this reward over to leering frauds instead. Sickening. I wrote some very popular poetry, too. Was I supposed to be rejected by women for this? In 2011, it seemed that the business offered me everything if I'd let their stars get away with their fraud, but, as you can see, they want to punish me for trying to do the right thing now. I know it's probably not your fault, whoever you readers might be, so I try not to bother you about it. I'm just saying, I think I've been very deeply injured, sexually injured, by the crimes committed on television and th

Worse than COVID

Worse than COVID I've not contracted COVID, but I bet I can name an infection that is worse: the Google Redirect Virus in Safari. I've already spent money to download an antivirus program to get rid of it, and here I am today, downloading another one. This nasty virus redirects your Google search to Yahoo, restricting you from countless search results and offering unsafe places to go on the web. And you know how you get it? By trying to use your browser on the internet. You can be just innocently visiting a page and it swarms all over you. Too bad we can't get some help with this virus, since I've had it for months now. I even tried to delete Safari from my Mac, but it's bulit right in to the operating system. I hope my next antivirus program will get rid of it once and for all. I hope I don't have to spend too much more money to repair its damage.    Arguments Copyright Issues Comedy Sketches Cartoons Ly

Please Don't Forget

Please Don't Forget I'm probably going to end up repeating a few things I've already said here in past blogs, but maybe they need to be repeated. For starters, I don't feel unhappy about losing all the millions and millions of dollars of royalties for my music, comedy, and poetry that I shared online in good faith. The betrayal by the business was hard to get over, but the money I lost doesn't trouble me. I know that happiness does not come from having millions and millions of dollars. It comes from getting what you want, all right, but who knows that? I don't honestly know what it is that would make me happy because I don't know myself that well. Like most people, I know others better than I know myself. It's quite natural for creatures who never see themselves except for a few tense moments in front of a mirror each day. And how can you know yourself if you never truly see yourself? Are you honest with yourself in the mirror? I'm not.
