Lessons of History

Lessons of History
Having reviewed my WW2 videos over the holidays, I'm reminded of a certain lesson on truth. I think most people are agreed that the costs of failing to accept unpleasant truth can be disastrous. Rather than admit failure in WW1, Hitler and his followers started WW2. Germans forced to accept the failure today have stronger character; their feet are firmly planted on the ground. On the other hand, those blinded by their pride, as the Nazis were, would have us fight the most destructive war in history all over again.

If it's also unpleasant to admit that stars with household names committed a massive fraud, all the more reason to admit it. The fraud was destructive enough without adding to it with denial. To hell with manipulating appearances.
