I'm proud and glad that we've opened our doors to Ukrainian refugees here in Canada. I wish them all enjoyable stays in my country, and I'm sure they'll feel welcome here. Let's hope their left behind loved ones survive to be reunited.

I think the German Foreign Minister said it best today, referring to Russian gas: we're hooked - like junkies huddling under a damp, sagging tarp in a garbage strewn alleyway in the middle of the night... Oh yeah, couldn't have said it better myself. They're hooked, all right. Those Russians have tapped into the German economy with their pipelines like a syringe, and they've been pumping that sweet fluid into Europe, and now Europe's hooked. And you can't blame the Ukrainian president for being upset. Germany's habit alone could have financed Putin's ravaging war machine. Zelenskyy saw it coming from the outset and tried to warn his neighbours. Now let's hope it's not too late. I was further intrigued to hear of the German NATO troops moving into Slovakia. Good choice. I'm sure the elderly Poles will be relieved to hear it.

Do forgive me, I know the Germans are our allies now. I'm sure they will be good solid partners. I'm always like this. By the way, I don't normally sit through long speeches like that, but I'm somewhat limited in my news sources for personal reasons. I did gather something about a geopolitical turning point demanding a containment process which would engage multiple miltary components. Such a construction would have at least five rotors, each with 99 starting positions, capable of generating ten to the 136th power of different combinations. I think. Maybe you should ask her.

March 30, 2022: Sorry if it's off topic, but couldn't you picture George Carlin stealing this for HBO if this war happened in 2007?
